> Here’s my take: we eventually work through the naive belief that profundity comes from complication. It simply isn’t so. Things have enough depth and worth on their own terms. No metaphors or analogies are needed for insight, only the willingness to listen to the subject speak for itself, even if it contradicts received wisdom.[[The Web’s Grain — Frank Chimero#^c66c7d|◊]]

Whenever I have edited my words or the words of the others. It is amazing how concise you can make the words without losing their meaning.
I think writing can be as detailed as required to express something complete, but the aim should always be clarify not obfuscate. Editing should happen continuously and a text never needs to be complete when digital. The journey text takes through the editing process is also instructive, as the simplification of a sentence also strengthens its claim and clarify's the intended imagery.

[[Process|Design Process]] should involve clarifying and discovering which of these are simply *mystifying* business double-speak and which are *demystifying* concepts with shared understanding.
> Things start to get a bit more challenging for new entrants to the field. It’s true that this language can initially be a blocker. In fact it can be super frustrating when talking to an expert and they say a bunch of things you don’t understand. [[The Pros and Cons of Professional Language — andybudd.com#^a5418e|◊]]

[[Designers can be the bridge between all disciplines]] and part of the work is lower barriers to understanding of the fields we work within. Making the effort to define terms, provide gateways to learn and deobfusctate useful knowledge.
