Open design means sharing as much information and resource during the design process as possible.
> A great side effect when increasing access to your design system is that your imperfections become improvements.
> - Access stimulates progress
>- Working openly promotes communication and accountability
> - Slowing down first allows us to speed up later

Requirements, insights and feedback flow more easily where [[Don’t put work in a silo | work is not put into a silo]]. Setting this up whilst avoiding negative [[Power Relations]] is key. [[Hierarchy]] within an organisation can still exist, (even though it shouldn’t) but on the level of ideas and input, each contributor ([[Everyone is a designer]]) is able to voice their expertise or concerns, lessening an individuals bias.
